About Lynne

Lynne Doucette started her law enforcement career in 1997 as a Reserve Officer for the town of Monmouth, Maine. In 1999, she was hired by the Winthrop Police Department and attended the 89th MCBPS at the Maine Criminal Justice Academy; graduating 3rd in her class. In 2003, she was hired by the Brunswick Police Department where she was assigned to the patrol division as an officer. In 2006, she was promoted to detective and assigned to the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency as an undercover agent. In 2008, Lynne was the first female to be promoted to Sergeant, and in 2011 was promoted to Lieutenant. As a lieutenant she was the Brunswick Police Department’s MLEAP Accreditation Manager, Scheduling Supervisor, Social Media Administrator, and worked with the administration in policy development and review. Lynne retired after 25 years in August 2022.

 Lynne has received numerous superior performance awards throughout her career, to include a Meritorious Service Award from Maine Association of Police, Trilogy Award for Leadership from FBI-LEEDA, and Official Commendations from the Portland (Maine) Police Department and Los Angeles (California) Police Department.

Lynne holds an Associate of Science in Criminal Justice and a Bachelor of Science in Public Administration, both from the University of Maine – Augusta.  Lynne also has a Master of Science in Administration of Justice from Southern New Hampshire University, as well as countless hours of in-service trainings. Lynne is also a PowerDMS Certified Professional.

When not working Lynne can usually be found trying to capture all Mother Nature has to offer with her camera, or cruising around in her limited-edition Corvette.
